Volunteers for 6/13 Meet...sign up early!!!!
Dear Blue Dolphin Families,
Thank you to everyone who volunteered at yesterday's away meet. Your willingness to help made a difference and is greatly appreciated.
Unfortunately, we did not have enough volunteers to fulfill all of our team's required positions and had to reach out to Southbridge for additional help. We are thankful for their support, but as we prepare for our first home meet of the season this week, we need to make sure that doesn't happen again.
Hosting a home meet requires even more volunteers, and we want to be the team that has plenty of people ready to help. Our home meets are a reflection of our Blue Dolphin community, and it takes all of us working together to make them successful.
If you volunteered yesterday, please talk to friends and neighbors who may not have signed up. Many parents who help for the first time quickly realize that the jobs are straightforward, and there is always someone available to answer questions and provide guidance. No volunteer position is too hard, and every role is important.
Our swim team cannot host a successful meet without volunteers. Whether you're timing, helping with concessions, assisting with clerk of course, working ribbons, or filling another role, your contribution directly supports our swimmers and our team.
As sign-ups open for this week's home meet, we are asking every family to consider how they can help. If everyone pitches in, the workload is light and the meet runs smoothly for our swimmers, coaches, and families.
Thank you again to everyone who volunteered yesterday. Let's come together and make our first home meet a great one.
Go Blue Dolphins!
Sincerely,
Brenda Burlingame
Volunteer Coordinator
