About Us
The Lake Manassas Blue Dolphins swim team is based in the Lake Manassas neighborhood in Gainesville, VA, with swimmers from both Lake Manassas and nearby neighborhoods. We are a 501(c)3 certified organization, with a mission to teach swimming and water safety skills to children, and are focused on providing our team members with a fun learning experience during the summer!
We compete in the Prince William Swim League (PWSL) each summer and are proud to be part of the county's vibrant swim community. The Lake Manassas Blue Dolphins swim team first officially joined in the Prince William Swim League (PWSL) in 2000. Prior to that, our swimmers competed as part of a joint team with our neighbors, Virginia Oaks.
While we have always been a relatively small team, we have some high-quality Blue Dolphin alums! Many of our swimmers have gone on to swim in Division 1, 2, and 3 college programs, including University of Virginia, North Carolina, University of Pittsburgh, Manhattan University, Marymount University, and the Virginia Military Institute.
