Dear Blue Dolphin Families,

Welcome to another exciting season with the Lake Manassas Blue Dolphins Swim Team! For those who don't know me, I am Brenda Burlingame and I will be serving as the volunteer coordinator this year. My husband, Zach and I have 2 swimmers on the swim team and both have been Blue Dolphins since they were 8 and under swimmers. Josh is 16 years old and Becca is 13.  We look forward to meeting you on the pool deck. 

We are thrilled to have both returning and new families joining us this summer. The energy, friendships, teamwork, and fun that make summer swim so special are just around the corner, and we can't wait to see our swimmers dive into a fantastic season.

Our first meet is coming up on Saturday, June 6th, as we travel to Southbridge for our season opener. This is always an exciting event and a great opportunity for our swimmers to showcase all the hard work they've been putting in at practice. Let's bring our Blue Dolphin spirit, cheer loudly, and kick off the season strong!

As we prepare for our first meet, we want to emphasize one very important fact: swim meets simply cannot happen without volunteers. Every meet relies on parents and family members stepping up to help with timing, ribbons, clerk of course, concessions, runners, and many other important roles. You can sign up directly in the swimtopia app or website.

The good news? Nothing is too difficult, and no prior experience is needed. We will show you exactly what to do and provide all the support you need. Whether you're a seasoned swim parent or brand new to summer swim, there is a volunteer role for everyone.

We ask every family to please volunteer for at least one shift at each meet. When everyone contributes a little, the meets run smoothly, our swimmers have a great experience, and no one family carries too much of the workload.

Thank you in advance for helping make our swim season successful. The Blue Dolphins are more than a swim team—we are a community, and it takes all of us working together to create a fun and memorable experience for our kids.
